As a blueprint for the breakout areas at all Leonardo's other locations, it was essential that this cafe's particular design enabled people to relax and have a break in their day, through a range of biophillic colours and textures.

Leonardo is a global high-technology company, and a key player in the Aerospace, Defense and Security industry. Leonardo wanted to revamp their café area and develop a design scheme that could become a blueprint for cafés across all their locations. To enable peope to relax as they took their breaks from the office environment, the design scheme integrated a range of biophillic colours and textures.

The original design of the space meant that it was only partly utilised during the day, and being such a prime space in their facility, they wanted to maximise it's value. We were priviledge to provide both our Palisades Grid and Palisades II products for the area, creating the perfect visual break between different areas and create a variety of zones with in the open-plan space.

The newly designed space accommodates multiplezones and uses including breakout, informal meetings, hosting customer events and dining. The result is a light, airy space full of visual interest, playful touches and contemporary furnishings. Beautiful wood finishes and generous planting create a sense of connection with nature.

Working with Sketch Studios on the design, they established the ideal number of employees to be accommodated and the style and range of furniture required. In addition to allowing for plenty of circulation space, they suggested a layout that would provide the right level of privacy combined with plenty of scope for social interaction.
