Kinetic Workplace Limited are specialists in workplace relocation. However, their latest design and build project, for a leading City-based investment company, was more unusual because they were asked to completely refurbish an office space while all 322 of its staff were still working in situ. It took much planning and coordination, but following 30 weeks of careful reconfiguration it’s been a great success.
The brief was to introduce more breakout spaces and collaborative spaces – pods, media hubs, soft seating and places for stand-up meetings – in order to move the focus away from traditional meeting rooms and towards a more contemporary, agile approach. As such, Spacestor were delighted to customise one of our Railway Carriage meeting pods with ribbed interiors in alternating grey and white upholstery – this stripy design matches the clean, calming palette of white and pale grey used throughout the company. Furthermore, both sides of the Railway Carriage were left open, allowing it to become a central pivot for the rest of the refreshed workplace.
