Fiverr is a global online marketplace, where you can hire freelance services starting from $5 dollars (hence its namesake). Launched in 2010, Fiverr’s headquarters are situated in Tel Aviv, Israel. Setter Architects were asked to create interior design that connected people, to produce a welcoming environment that allowed global-local ideas to flourish.

To achieve this, Setter Architects took inspiration from their client’s knowledge pool. Artwork produced by artists from the Fiverr community were integrated in to the furniture, design and art throughout the building.

A subtle touch is the fact that the renovation included original aspects of the building, such as leaving parts of the old walls exposed and intertwining them with newer textures and materials such as concrete.

The ‘old and new’ theme was tangible throughout the design process. Recycled wooden window frames became cosy meeting room partitions that allow spontaneous meetings and informal gatherings.

With a home from home ambience, the office provides copious lounges, a welcoming cafeteria, gym and outdoor terrace for relaxation.

It looks as though Setter Architects took a leaf from the Danish by making the offices ‘hygge’. Pronounced “hoo-gah”, it refers to various components that creates ‘cosy contentment and wellbeing’.

Natural wood, ample daylight, and soft textures are often found in our homes; invite these elements in to the Fiverr office and employees will feel comfortable and safe. Add in a few coffee tables and weathered rugs, and the home aesthetic is complete.

With customers visiting from all over the globe, it was important that Fiverr’s HQ remained inoffensive yet inviting, which it has achieved with its sense of home-like familiarity.
