Cotswold-based comparison website creates a castle fit for the Kings and Queens of tech. Money.co.uk was ranked the second fastest growing business in the UK in 2015, and has been independently recognised as one of the best places to work in the UK.

The design and fit out of their head office, The Castle, was developed by Interaction including Egle Bareikyte who was the lead designer on the project, and they also collaborated with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen on the design of six of the rooms.

“ Looking after your team is paramount and it’s really important I give them the best of everything. Ultimately my team are my most valuable asset.  ”

The Managing Director, Chris Morling, believes his staff are the engine of the business, and the transformation of this castle was directed towards talent attraction and retention.  It was the icing on the cake for a great culture harboured by Chris, encouraging a flexible work-life balance.

Chris Morling, Founder and Managing Director of money.co.uk comments: “You spend half your working life in the office and I wanted to create a motivating, uplifting environment which gave my team flexibility and encouraged collaboration. Looking after your team is paramount and it’s really important I give them the best of everything. Ultimately my team are my most valuable asset.”

We provided Zee Desks throughout the main offices, with different coloured screens to match the bright colour schemes of the rooms. The money.co.uk logo was etched onto the timber post of the desks with a design appeal, fitting into the creative design of the whole castle.  Interaction were previously looking for a bespoke option, when Spacestor launched the Zee Desks and were ‘perfect for the solution’, and also matching the zig zag effect in the offices. Its blend of nature and design provides a balance between work and home.

We also provided lockers around the castle, located in the offices and the shower rooms. money.co.uk wanted the lockers to be fun and interesting, and extended their brand into the workspace with the finishes matching their vibrant brand colours.

This inspiring and creative workspace brings people together from throughout the business, and its unique features focus on the needs of the workforce, as they are valued above everything else.

The castle provides many different types of workspaces; its flexible environment encourages both collaboration between colleagues and private individual projects. Its attention to detail is immense with features such as the cinema, 22,000 pennies stuck down by hand in the boardroom, and the coats of armour. These details contributed to the hundreds of job applications received in the days after the workspace was revealed.

We are proud to have worked with Interaction on the creation of a truly inspiring workspace, putting employee welfare at its forefront and attracting key talent to the company.
