As a multinational company with over three decades of experience providing data benchmarking, analytics and marketplace insights to the hospitality industry, STR knows a thing or two about how to grow a business and what makes for a modern, welcoming space. Originally from Hendersonville, Tennessee, STR has maintained its international headquarters in Southwark’s Blue Fin Building for a while now – but this year, with business booming, they asked office design experts Peldon Rose to help them refurbish their existing premises and grow into their newly acquired extra floor space too. And, as always, we were delighted to supply Peldon Rose with some customised pieces.
It was important for STR to create more meeting spaces for their expanding workforce, so we provided an open-top banquette Railway Carriage upholstered in royal blue. Furthermore, STR wanted their old office space to flow seamlessly into their new lounge space, and to make the most of the sunlight streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, so we made them a Palisades Wood system that divides the two zones in the most stylish and unobtrusive way. With its built-in monitor, and its turquoise, grey and mauve panels, this storage unit has a minimalist art installation feel that’s perfectly in keeping with the view of Tate Modern through the Blue Fin Building’s windows.
