Workplace return strategies will need to be formed with a human-centred, holistic vision and there will be design strategies that accommodate the immediate-return, strategies for the medium-term, and then for the longer-term, guiding a reinvention of the workplace. We refer to these 3 timeframes in a simpler manner in our solutions paper: the ‘Now’, ‘Near’ and the ‘New’.  The Now is the immediate return. The initial design approach that will welcome the first wave of people returning to the workplace.  The Near is the medium-term. As subsequent waves of people return to the workplace, space design responds and adapts to changing needs - a state of perpetual beta and the New is the future.
