Comfortable yet disciplined, connected yet separate, singular yet diverse, the Neogenesis+Studi0261 and Laiwala Advocates offices display a balanced and pleasant working environment. Situated on the third storey of a newly constructed building, the offices are surrounded by trees and openings which allow daylight and ventilation to enter the space. In addition, the office is located in one of the poshest areas of the city and the design pays justice to these elite surroundings through its forms and spaces, keeping the interior isolated, yet connected to the outside world.

We spend most our waking hours at work, and this has been a core consideration in the design of these offices. The principal idea focused on creating a "feel at home" environment whilst still retaining a "disciplined" space since the floor is shared by two unique professionals - architects and advocates.

Upon entering the offices, the passage clears into a Kota foyer with interior scaping which creates a natural, aesthetically appealing palette, consisting of terrazzo flooring, lime plastered walls and reclaimed wood and plants. The space features sliding walls and screens for flexibility and privacy, and a Nordic style, subsequently mixing contemporary and local design.

Where the zoning of the Advocate's office follows a more corporate layout due to the call for less interaction and more privacy, the architect's studio follows a spatial organisation, encouraging chance encounters and stimulating creativity and ideas.

The office has also embraced sustainability through the use of eco-friendly materials, natural lighting and ventilation. The detail and choice of design elements was ultimately to keep the overall look of the offices natural and earthy and make an agreeable working environment.
