Located in the mythical and historical avenue of the Champs-Élysées, WeWork has designed their new coworking offices in the heart of the Triangle d’Or in Paris, France. A 4,500 square metre space spanning 4 floors, the home of Thomas Jefferson while he served as the Minister of France.

The decoration designed by WeWork is a tribute to Haute-Couture and particularly to that of Yves Saint Laurent. The terracotta clay of the gardens, the painted blue concrete with bursts of yellow, the greenery of the palms and cacti plants; All these colours and materials reference those that the couturier loved in the Jardins Majorelles in Marrakesh, Morocco and have been incorporated into the interiors of WeWork Champs-Élysées.

The graphic and colourful furniture blends perfectly into the atmosphere with sculptural elements built into the design including floating pantry islands with coloured finishes and materials. The design team also designed fitted ping pong tables, conference room tables and coffee tables whilst keeping all peripheral walls white.

Very few architectural additions were made, with the wrought-iron spiral staircase and fireplaces maintained throughout, making minimalistic intervention possible. Velvet curtains were added for acoustical purposes since the space did not have any mouldings. Linear fixtures with a light wash emphasize the sheen and lightness of the curtains.

The aim was to create a narrative for the building, whilst reflecting its origins with atypical rooms and spaces throughout the floors, including an array of communal spaces such as the ‘Tea Parlour’, ‘Library’ and ‘Dining Room.’ Further amenities for the building include a wellness & meditation room; a recording & podcast studio; screening room; terrace; on-site gym and dedicated parking.
