Spacestor Supports Book Launch by HOK’s Kay Sargent, Championing Neuroinclusive Workplace Design
Spacestor is proud to partner with global architecture and design firm HOK to support the launch of Designing Neuroinclusive Spaces - authored by Kay Sargent, Senior Principal - Director of Thought Leadership, Interiors at HOK. This landmark publication marks a pivotal moment in the industry’s understanding of how to design environments that are truly inclusive, and that support neurological differences.
To celebrate and amplify the book’s launch, Spacestor has collaborated with HOK across a series of events designed to ignite conversation, inspire action, and connect workplace professionals with practical insights around neuroinclusive design.
The partnership began with an exclusive roundtable event held at Spacestor’s London Design Centre, featuring expert speakers, Kay Sargent and Frances Gain of M Moser. The event offered powerful takeaways on how every workplace is different, and so is every brain. But the more we tune in to what people really need - choice, control, calm, stimulation, a sense of belonging - the closer we get to building workplaces that work for everyone.
HOK hosted an evening event at their London studio where Kay Sargent shared the origins of her book, as well as the key messages designer should take away and apply as principles to their work. At Women in Office Design’s recent Sustainable Design Forum, Spacestor continued its support by sponsoring the distribution of Kay’s book to attendees, helping ensure key design decision-makers can access and apply this cutting-edge collection of knowledge in their own projects.
Across all three events the focus wasn’t about presenting all the answers. It was about gathering the right people to ask better questions - and continuing the work of experimentation, sharing, and intentional design.
As Kay puts it, “Once you learn how to design smart, it’s hard to go back to designing stupid.”
