The brief called for a workplace that felt refined and welcoming, balancing moments of connection with spaces for focus, creativity and reflection. Light-filled and luxurious in feel, the design creates a calm yet energising backdrop for day-to-day work and collaboration.

Spacestor worked in close collaboration with workplace design specialists COEL (Cambridge Office Environments Ltd) to deliver a cohesive furniture and storage solution aligned with the overall architectural vision.

Through early engagement and ongoing coordination, the team ensured that furniture, finishes and layouts integrated seamlessly with the wider design concept. The result is a highly considered environment where each element supports both functional requirements and the desired aesthetic.

Spacestor supplied a combination of pods and storage, carefully configured to support both practical and experiential needs.

Positioned as warm, inviting private spaces, the Portals Open and Quiet pods provide areas for touchdown individual desks, focused work or moments of quiet inspiration. Upholstered in a playful coral pink fabric and thoughtfully lit, they offer a sense of comfort and connection while remaining slightly removed from the main workplace buzz.

Storagewall was installed in a couple of runs to create visual consistency and functional efficiency. One run supports the kitchen area, while another sits alongside the Portals within the main working zone, reinforcing spatial structure while keeping storage seamless and accessible.
HotLockers were integrated, as well as specified as end-of-desk units. This approach supports personal storage needs while maintaining a streamlined, uncluttered floorplate.

All elements were finished in a consistent light woodgrain cladding, creating a unified, calm aesthetic and reinforcing the sense of quality and cohesion throughout the space.

The overall design language is modern, light-filled and quietly luxurious. A neutral base palette is elevated through the use of warm materials and carefully chosen colour accents. The light woodgrain finish brings softness and warmth, while the colourful highlights introduce a sense of energy and creativity.

Lighting plays a key role in shaping the experience of the space — particularly within the Portals, where a warm glow enhances their inviting, cocoon-like feel. Together, these elements create an environment that feels sophisticated yet approachable, supporting wellbeing alongside performance.

The completed London office reflects the client’s ambition to create a positive, collaborative environment while strengthening its role within the UK and global life sciences landscape. Through close collaboration with COEL and a carefully curated suite of Spacestor products, the space delivers a refined, flexible workplace that supports innovation and everyday wellbeing, for both colleagues and customers.
