Workspace of the Week - Patreon Offices, San Francisco
Crowdfunding membership platform, Patreon in San Francisco have recently undergone a workplace transformation, creating proper creative spaces as well as varied work areas to fulfil workplace needs.

Gensler have recently worked with crowdfunding membership platform, Patreon, to create their new workspace in San Francisco, California.

Designed to connect creators - artists, musicians, podcasters and several others - with their fans and supporters, Patreon creates a strong community of artisitic thought and a network of income streams. The company has grown rapidly since it was first founded in 2013, and has worked through a number of different workspaces. Now, 5 years later, they are ready to build out to a more permanent home, securing over 41,000 square feet for the new offices in San Francisco's Design District, an increasingly popular neighbourhood for tech and arts companies.

Important to the workspace design, was an area that maintained the living room vibe of their previous offices, whilst signalling that they are a maturing, successful company. Paterone's new headquarters are double the size of their previous workspace, and can now offer proper creative spaces such as recording facilities, art studios and creator-in-residence suites.

The headquarters serve as a hub for their community of members, with the creative vibe weaving throughout the workplace with the inclusion of art pieces and artifacts from the company's history, along with a performance area and music setup in their café.

The Gensler team balanced the creative spaces within the workspace, designing varied work areas which offer Patreon's employees the environments they need to focus, collaborate and connect with each other. Fully engaging with Patreon's passion and mission, the environment fits the company's needs, supporting their community whilst demonstrating their new status as a mature organization.
