Spacestor were privileged to partner with Bouygues Energies & Services, a 1.7 billion company specialising in integrated facilities and energy management, and contracting and infrastructure services across the public and private sectors. February 2016 saw the move of their head office to a new location opposite Westminster bridge spanning 11 floors.

With the move, Bouygues Energies & Services, took the opportunity to implement a smart working environment reducing by 26% their footprint and increasing their design capacity by 44%. Pivotal to the success of this transformation project was modernising both the furniture and the way that staff worked within the office. Smart working and a ‘clear-desk’ policy meant that this global operator needed conveniently placed smart lockers for employees to store personal items, wherever they were working that day.

The answer laid in the Spacestor HotLocker, of which over 150 were installed throughout the new office environment. The innovative touch-screen system used employee’s existing security cards to allocate lockers. A charge point option was chosen inside each locker for easy powering of phones or other devices. The monitoring of the usage of these lockers formed part of Bouygues Energies & Services’ strategy to gather real time information on how the new space is used.
