As the recruiters, organisers and representatives of workers in the retail industry, USDAW, the acronym of Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers, wanted to provide a superlative workplace experience for their own employees. Calling on the aid of Manchester based Workspace Design & Build, they have created a welcoming and warm space, full of natural design features, from plywood accents, to green upholstery and an over-abundance of biophillia.

Blending in with the mid-century feel, the minimalistic lines of our Palisades II provides effective zoning throughout the space as well as echoing the crittall look seen in other elements of the design. Over eighteen different configurations of the uber-flexible Palisades II create zones for scrum spaces, focussed working, breakout areas and more. The open feel of the Palisades means that it still allows light to filter through whilst providing a visual and some acoustic privacy to the different areas of the workplace.
