Merci Paris! The Launch of Aeonica in France
Last week’s Workspace Expo in Paris was an immersive experience that provided attendees with valuable insights into the latest trends and emerging demands predicted to be prevalent in the future of an ever-changing industry. With 299 brands exhibiting, thousands of visitors, live music, snacks and cocktails, the Porte de Versailles was a buzzing hub bringing together all aspects of real estate and facilities under one roof.
Across the three days the atmosphere was vibrant and engaging, with thought-provoking presentations and practical insights that encouraged attendees to explore new ideas and approaches to workplace design. Equally stimulating, was the social interaction that was enabled, with ample opportunities for networking and collaboration with like-minded professionals from all across Europe and globally.
We were excited to showcase Aeonica for the first time in France, receiving an overwhelmingly positive reaction reflective of the innovative nature of this architectural space-creator. Working with Gensler as product design consultants means that each organic shape has been designed flawlessly for a greater inter-compatibility enabling the creation of almost endless spaces within the workplace.
Philippe Paré, Managing Director of Gensler France, explains the concept behind Aeonica which is ‘to empower users to truly make workspaces their own’. By providing the designer with five simple shapes which can be connected through a quick release joining system, the configurations made can be repurposed and reconfigured time and time again.
Aeonica’s organic, architectural shapes were represented with a 14-piece Pantheon, serving as a soft, calm meeting space, and two deep cloisters which were used for touch-down spaces, shown as part of Silvera’s stand. We enjoy an ongoing relationship with Silvera as our regional strategic dealer, and a partnership with them has meant a growing engagement and knowledge of the French market.
Aeonica’s launch in France was an impressive indication of the direction workplace is taking, away from an arbitrary commercial setting to create a destination space.
Merci, Paris, for an outstanding opportunity to learn, connect, and grow in the ever-evolving world of work!
