Chevron Technology Venture's new 'third place' office model is designed for new ways of working within the energy corporation's strategy to build the workplace of the future. For the design of their innovative think tank and collaboration space within the Ion, Chevron worked with global architecture and design firm Gensler, to create a stunning space not just for their employees, but for all the external consultants, partners and vendors that visit the space. Based around themes of networking and technology, the design creates an environment dedicated to fostering flexibility and innovation.

Showcasing their rich history in the energy industry, visitors are greeted upon entry with a large branded biophilia wall, accessorized with various historical artefacts. Throughout the suite, multiple space types and settings provide employees with the chance to interact and meet in an area that best suits their need. Bridging the gap between a meeting room and an auditorium-style space, our Bleachers provide the perfect opportunity for chance collaborations. With their great flexibility, employees can instantly create the desired environment for any interaction, making a personal, informal space that will foster a flow of inspiration and new ideas.

Ensuring they remain at the cutting edge of innovation, meeting rooms offer functional spaces for vendors to conduct demos and test emerging technologies. Additional spaces include a dedicated recording studio with state-of-the-art acoustics and lighting serving as a hub for bringing videos and podcasts to life. And to encourage further opportunities for employee connection and chance collaborations, the space boasts a plethora of extra amenities including coffee bars and social areas.
