Deutsche Bahn, Germany's national Railway Operator, recently moved into the iconic Bricktower building in central Frankfurt. As the second-largest transport company in the world, and the largest railway operator and infrastructure owner in Europe, it carries about two billion passengers annually! With over 23,000 square feet of space, this new space provides a base for more than 3,000 of Deutsche Bahn's employees.

Inside this 'campus-style' Headquarters, the offices provide a modern and flexible day-to-day working environment. Large, open floorplates allow the light from the floor-to-ceiling windows to flood through the space and provide sweeping views of the surrounding city. We were pleased to work with leading workplace furniture provider Quadro Office to supply our Bleacher seating. Perfect for providing these chance collaborations, our Bleachers bridge the gap between a formal meeting space and an auditorium style setup. Their convenient size, means employees can pick them up, move and customize their environment to suit their needs.

To enable easier wayfinding throughout the complex, each level of the building is graphically represented by a different colour. Tying the furniture in with the colour scheme of each level, they were able to fully customize the upholstery on our Bleacher seatpads to match the aesthetics of the corresponding floor. Using a mixture of single, double and double-height modular components from the Bleachers range, Deutsche Bahn have given their staff the ideal tools to create and re-create the work setting they need for any given collaborations.
